01  Overview

MediaGo in brief.

MediaGo is a performance advertising platform that places native-style and display ads across a network of publishers and apps. It describes itself as a demand-side platform built on deep learning, with automated bidding that works toward the conversions you track.

For most advertisers it's an addition to Taboola and Outbrain: the same creative principles, a headline, an image and a content-led landing page, with different inventory. Start with offers already proven on native, and judge it on cost per result over enough volume.

A good fit

  • Advertisers with offers already proven on native
  • Teams with a library of tested headlines and images
  • Online stores and apps looking for incremental reach

Think twice if

  • You're new to native; the principles are easier to learn on one of the larger networks first
  • You can't track conversions; automated bidding depends on them

02  Ad formats

Formats worth knowing.

The MediaGo formats and options most advertisers start with. Names and availability change by market and account, so check what your account offers.

  • 01

    Native ads

An image and a headline in content feeds on partner publishers and apps.

  • 02

    Display placements

Standard display formats where MediaGo's inventory supports them.

  • 03

    Automated bidding

Machine-learning bidding toward your conversion goal, once tracking is in place.

  • 04

    Targeting

Geography, device, audiences and retargeting from the MediaGo pixel.

04  Verification

What gets checked.

MediaGo looks at the business behind every advertiser. Have these ready before you order and setup moves faster.

  • Business details

Company name, address and website, exactly as on your registration documents.

  • Names that match exactly

Use your company's legal name in exactly the same form everywhere: registration documents, the platform's business settings, your website footer and invoices.

  • A live website on your own domain

With your company name, contact details, a privacy policy and terms easy to find. MediaGo checks that the site and the business behind the ads match.

  • Category declaration

Tell us what you advertise before you order. Some categories aren't accepted or need extra review.

05  Policy essentials

The rules that matter most.

In general terms. MediaGo's own policies decide, and they change, so read the official text before you launch.

  • Prohibited and restricted content

MediaGo prohibits some products and restricts others by category and market.

  • Accurate headlines and images

Creative must be relevant and truthful about what the landing page offers.

  • Transparent landing pages

Clear advertiser identity, pricing and terms, with advertorials labeled as advertising.

  • Platform review

Creative and landing pages are reviewed before campaigns serve.

  • Appeals

Rejections are handled through MediaGo's own process. MediaGo decides.

Read the source

Ads go through MediaGo's standard review, like any advertiser's. Appeals go through MediaGo's own process, and MediaGo decides.

07  Common mistakes

What usually goes wrong.

The MediaGo mistakes we see most often, and what to do instead.

  • Starting without conversions

Automated bidding has nothing to learn from.

    Instead

Install tracking and define one clear conversion goal first.

  • Untested creative

Launching brand-new concepts on a new network doubles the unknowns.

    Instead

Start with creative already proven on native.

  • Short tests

Judging after a small amount of spend reads noise as signal.

    Instead

Set a test budget and a decision date before launch.

  • Reports without UTMs

Without parameters you can't see which placements convert.

    Instead

Tag every link before the first impression.

08  FAQ

Questions about MediaGo.

  • A demand-side platform: software that buys ad placements automatically across many publishers, bidding impression by impression.

  • Usually after Taboola or Outbrain, once you have offers and creative that work on native.

  • Through MediaGo's own interface under our agency setup, within the account's permissions.

  • Yes. Creative and landing pages go through MediaGo's standard review, the same as for any advertiser.
