Forum Policy & verification
Example threadRead the disapproval notice before you edit anything
Most disapproved ads get edited in a hurry, and the edit often doesn't touch what the reviewer flagged. This is the routine our compliance team follows before changing anything.
- 1Note the policy the notice cites, word for word, and which asset it points to: text, image, video or landing page.
- 2Open that policy on the platform's own site and find the matching section. Don't work from memory or a forum summary.
- 3Fix the asset so it clearly meets the policy. If the landing page is the problem, fix the page, not the ad.
- 4Request a new review through the platform's official process, and keep a note of what you changed.
- 5If you believe the decision is wrong, file an appeal through the platform's official form with a short, factual explanation.
What not to do: duplicate the ad and submit it again unchanged. It doesn't fix anything, and it makes the account's history harder to read.
Worth adding: keep a short log per account with the date, the policy cited, what changed and the outcome. When a client asks what happened three months ago, the answer is in one place.
