Cookie Policy.

Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to keep, so it can remember something between pages or visits. Browser storage works in a similar way, but what it holds stays in your browser unless the site’s own code reads it. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab; local storage stays until you clear it.

First-party cookies are set by the site you are visiting, here krog.digital. Third-party cookies are set by another company’s domain, such as google.com.

This policy explains what Krög Digital uses and how you can control it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information more broadly.

We use two categories: strictly necessary and advertising. We don’t use analytics tools, social media plugins or embedded videos that set cookies.

Strictly necessary

These make the site work as you ask: they let you in after the human check, remember your cookie choice and region, and keep the state of features you use, such as Krög AI. They don’t need your consent and are never used for advertising. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the site will then stop working (section 4).

Advertising

The Google Ads tag uses these to measure our advertising and to show our ads to people who visited the site (remarketing). In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, they are used only if you allow them.

Google may change the names and lifetimes of its cookies. Google’s cookie policy (opens in a new tab) describes the cookies it uses and how long they last.

We use the Google tag with our Google Ads account to see which of our ads bring people to the site and to show our ads to people who visited it. The tag runs on every page, including the human-check page at the entrance.

The tag uses Google’s Consent Mode, which changes what it does depending on your choice:

• When advertising cookies are allowed, the tag may set and read the cookies in the advertising table above, and Google can use the information to measure our ads and to include your browser in audiences for our ads.
• When they are not allowed, the tag doesn’t set or read advertising cookies and removes ad-click identifiers from what it sends. It may still send Google basic signals without cookies, such as that a page loaded, with details like the time and the type of browser. Google uses these signals to estimate, in aggregate, how many visits and actions our ads lead to.

Either way, loading the tag from Google’s servers tells Google your IP address and basic browser details, as any request on the internet does. Google uses the information it receives under its own policies; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services (opens in a new tab). In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

When you visit from these countries, we ask before using advertising cookies. Until you choose, and if you refuse, they stay off. Strictly necessary cookies and storage are used either way.

We tell where you are from the approximate country of your IP address, which our host provides. The krog_region cookie remembers the result for 30 days; it holds only whether we need to ask, not your country or IP address. If we can’t tell where you are, we ask, to be safe.

Everywhere else

Advertising cookies are on by default. You can turn them off at any time, and they stay off in that browser: we renew a refusal each time you visit.

Change your choice at any time

Open Cookie settings to allow or refuse advertising cookies. Your choice is saved in the krog_consent cookie for 12 months (a refusal is renewed at each visit). When it expires, we ask again in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland; elsewhere, the default applies. If you turn advertising cookies off, we remove the Google Ads cookies and the _gcl_ls storage item set on krog.digital. Cookies Google sets on its own domains can’t be removed by us, but they are no longer read or written for this site.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (opens in a new tab) signal, advertising cookies stay off in that browser, even if you allowed them before. They come back on only if you allow them in Cookie settings while the signal is on. We treat the signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, as our Privacy Policy explains.

Your browser

You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser’s settings, for this site or for all sites. If you block the krog_human cookie, the human check will appear on every visit; if you delete krog_consent, we will ask for your choice again.

When we turn on Cloudflare Turnstile for the human check, Cloudflare’s widget runs in a frame from challenges.cloudflare.com and uses data such as your IP address and browser signals to tell people from automated programs. Cloudflare may use storage on its own domain for this; it is not used for advertising. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).

When we add, remove or change a cookie or storage item, we update this page and the date at the top. If we add a new category of cookies that needs consent, we ask you again.
