A pre-launch checklist for Google Ads policy review

Most disapprovals are avoidable. Run this list before publishing and you remove the usual reasons a campaign lands in review.

Most disapprovals we see are avoidable. Run this list before you press publish and you remove the common reasons a new campaign lands in review.

Landing page

  • Business name, contact details and a privacy policy are visible without scrolling far.
  • Claims on the page match claims in the ad — no new promises after the click.
  • The page loads in under three seconds on mobile and has no broken links.

Ad copy

  • No superlatives you cannot substantiate on the landing page.
  • Capitalisation and punctuation follow the editorial policy — no all caps, no repeated symbols.
  • Trademarks only where you are authorised to use them.

Account

  • Advertiser verification is completed before the first campaign, not after a request.
  • Billing country matches the business address on file.
  • Conversion actions are set up and firing on a test submission.

If a campaign still goes to review, do not create a duplicate. Appeal once, with specifics, and wait. Parallel copies of a reviewed campaign are one of the fastest ways to escalate the situation.
